Introducing Explora Journeys

Hi everyone! I just returned from a week-long cruise around the Mediterranean. While I am not a cruiser at heart, I must say that Explora Journeys is on a completely different level and sets a new standard for cruising. In fact, I'm already looking at the schedule to figure out when I can book another voyage for myself.

I wanted to take a few moments to share the highlights with you, and I also have access to an exclusive discount that I want to extend to you, so read on for all the details. There's also a very cool experience for Formula 1 fans!

About Explora Journeys
We sailed aboard Explora I, their debut ship that redefines the luxury cruise experience. Staterooms are extremely comfortable starting at 377 sq. ft. and all with private balconies. The ship’s design is spacious, contemporary, and elegant. It appeals to a vibrant but sophisticated clientele, attracting an average age that's a decade younger than most luxury cruise lines. You don't feel like you're on a ship, you feel like you in a luxury hotel that just happens to be floating on the water.

Food, drinks, select activities, and gratuities are included in the price, so you don't feel like you're being nickel and dimed throughout the sailing.

While children are welcome onboard, this is NOT the waterslide-and-go-kart experience you can find elsewhere. It’s designed for those who appreciate an elevated and thoughtful journey.

Plus, exciting news—Explora II is sailing its maiden voyage next week!

Incredible Culinary Experiences
One of the biggest highlights of our journey was the culinary experience. Explora Journeys excels in gastronomy, and with seven dining options onboard, you will have plenty of variety to keep your interest. Our personal favorite was Sakura, a stunning restaurant with a phenomenal sushi bar and delicious Asian cuisine. But let’s not forget the Emporium Marketplace, which became our go-to spot for many meals. This is not your standard buffet; it’s a culinary adventure with over a dozen live-action stations featuring an incredible seafood bar (fresh oysters, crab legs, build-your-own-ceviche, etc.), handcrafted pasta and pizza (they make the dough daily), a fresh juice bar, and so much more.

Onboard Activities and Entertainment
Explora I offers an array of activities to enjoy during your time at sea. Live music is available throughout the ship every evening. The spa and gym are well appointed. We played pickleball and basketball on the sky deck with incredible views of the sea and coastline. We relaxed by the multiple pools, danced into the night at the Silent Disco, and got an up-close cooking demonstration at the Chef's Kitchen. Whether you want to stay active or just unwind, there’s never a dull moment onboard.

Our Itinerary
Our journey started in the historic city of Athens, where we spent a couple days before departure exploring the vibrant neighborhoods, eating delicious food (there was a lot of eating on this trip), and sipping cocktails at several of the world's Top 100 Cocktail Bars—all in the shadow of the city's ancient landmarks. From there, we sailed to the picturesque Greek islands of Patmos and Corfu and then explored the serene beauty of the Puglia region in Italy. We then journeyed to the beautiful coastal town of Zadar, Croatia, and concluded our cruise in charming Venice. Being on a smaller ship, we were able to visit some unique destinations that larger ships cannot access. Even better, the smaller ship allows for more flexible departure times, so we were in port until after 10pm some nights, which alleviates some of the rushed feeling on many larger ships since they oftentimes leave port at a much earlier hour.

Exclusive Explora Offer for TW Members
So what about that deal I mentioned? If you book an Explora Journeys cruise in the next 10 days (before September 20), we are excited to offer you the lowest advertised price on Explora’s website, plus:

  • Additional 5% discount

  • Enhanced onboard ship credit of 150-900 EUR (varies based on dates and length of sailing)

This is a great opportunity to experience Explora Journeys’ unique style of ocean travel for a very competitive price.

Festive Season Availability
For those of you who still haven't made plans for the holidays, cruises can be a fantastic option because they will take you to warm weather and the prices don't skyrocket that time of year like they do at hotels. It’s a great time to sail!

Explora still has some remaining space for their festive season sailings:

  • December 20, 2024: Depart from Miami and set sail on a 7-night escape through the vibrant Butterfly Isles and chic French Caribbean

  • December 23, 2024: Set off on a 7-night adventure from Miami to Bridgetown, Barbados

  • December 27, 2024: Ring in the New Year at sea with a journey from San Juan to Miami

  • December 30, 2024: Begin in Bridgetown, Barbados, and enjoy an overnight stay in St. George’s, Grenada, before setting sail to the colorful ABC Islands

Explora + Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco (May 2025)
If you are an F1 fan, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss. Explora Journeys has secured an exclusive arrangement for the 2025 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix! Imagine your ship docked in the heart of Monaco's famous Port Hercule, just steps away from the race track (see the map below). As part of the Explora cruise booking, passengers will receive Grandstand Tickets (Tribune 2) or Paddock Club access for the race! The entire cruise experience can be 6, 13, or 21 days depending on whether you want to extend the journey beyond the race.

The TravelWealth Team is here to help you plan an unforgettable journey with Explora. Feel free to submit a Trip Request through the TravelWealth website if you are interested in options. You can also feel free to grab a time on my calendar if you have any questions about my Explora experience.

Cheers!
