Credit Cards Offering Reimbursement for Global Entry

Global Entry is a program administered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that expedites entry into the United States for pre-approved, low-risk travelers. It includes TSA Pre-check benefits, allowing expedited security screening at participating airports within the U.S.

TSA Pre-check, on the other hand, is a standalone program operated by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) that provides expedited security screening for domestic flights only, without the added benefits of expedited customs and immigration processing upon international arrival.

Global Entry costs $100 to enroll, while TSA Pre-check costs $85. Many credit cards will cover the cost of these services by simply paying the fee with that card. Since Global Entry includes the benefits of TSA Precheck, we recommend signing up for Global Entry when you have a choice between the two programs.

Here are the best travel cards that offer Global Entry and TSA PreCheck Reimbursement (up to $100 statement credit every 4 years):

• American Express Platinum
• American Express Business Platinum
• American Express Bonvoy Brilliant
• American Express Delta SkyMiles Reserve and Platinum Cards
• Capital One Spark Miles for Business
• Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card
• Capital One Venture X
• Capital One Venture X for Business
• Chase Sapphire Reserve
• Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Performance Business Card
• Chase United Club Infinite, Explorer, and Quest Cards
• Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard

In order to apply for either program, you will need to submit an application online as well as schedule an in-person interview. You will want to plan ahead for these interviews because the wait times can be long, especially for Global Entry (once you’ve received preliminary approval into the program, many airports now allow you to conduct the Global Entry interview upon arrival to the US after an international flight – this can potentially speed up the process considerably).
